Method
NMBS/SNCB, the Belgian railways, publishes the realtime data of its trains as a GTFS-RT feed on the Belgian Mobility Open Data Portal, with a timetable renewed daily. Lines are named as Infrabel, the railway network, names them (IC 06, S1, L 02).
- A train’s delay is its delay at the last stop it has passed, stored as actual; before its first stop, the forecast for the next one, stored as current.
- The feed carries only about one running train in five (measured 2026-10-06 and 07): Belgian figures cover those trains alone, and a train the feed leaves out is not counted, late or not.
- IC, L, S and peak (P) trains count; special trains, international trains (Eurostar, ICE, the Paris trains) and replacement buses are left out. The Brussels–Rotterdam trains count as IC 35.
- Peak trains have no line number: each of their routes is its own line, named P.
